Should I pay deposit to complete a registration?
We understand that making a deposit can be an inconvenience, but it is a necessary step in ensuring that our customers have a smooth and enjoyable experience. Our policy of requiring a $20/person deposit is in place to minimize the inconvenience of last-minute cancellations and no-show incidents, which we unfortunately have had to deal with in the past. We ask that our customers view this deposit as a partial commitment to their reservation and understand that it is non-refundable. This allows us to better manage our resources and provide the best service possible to all of our valued customers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Rest assured, your deposit will be applied to your total bill upon completion of your reservation. Thank you for choosing us and we look forward to serving you soon.
Can i do both hand-build and wheel throw in one-day class or birthday party class?
Due to limited time (90 min/session) and studio resources, a student needs to choose between hand-building and wheel-throwing. On the other hand, our multi-session class students will have enough opportunities to practice both hand-building and wheel-throwing.
PICKUP
When can i pickup my pieces?
We understand that it is important for our students to take home their completed pottery pieces as soon as possible. That's why we strive to make the glazing and firing process as efficient and timely as possible.
To ensure a smooth and timely pickup process, we kindly request that you schedule a pickup time at least 24 hours in advance by calling us. This will allow us to have your pieces ready for you on the designated date and time. We value your time and want to make sure that your experience with us is hassle-free.
Please note that the glazing and firing process takes approximately three weeks, so we appreciate your patience in waiting for your finished pieces. We take great care in the glazing and firing process to ensure that your pieces are of the highest quality and are ready for you to take home and enjoy.
Please also understand that pieces unclaimed for 2 month following class completion shall be considered abandoned and discarded from the studio to make rooms for new pieces.
What Happens to Items with Cracks?
During the drying process of ceramics, it is not uncommon for cracks to occur, for example, due to air bubbles formed inside clay. However, these cracks can have a damaging effect on the final product if left unnoticed. In order to prevent any potential risks, it is imperative that cracked pieces are excluded from the firing process. This is because cracks can cause the ceramic piece to explode in the kiln, leading to potential damage to other pieces and compromising the overall quality of the firing.
